Hello, I'm Varnita, the founder of Be-Veda. Gratitude for taking a moment to pause and allowing yourself to be open to the beauty and benefits Ayurveda has to offer. Our vision of Ayurvedic-inspired is "simple living and high thinking.”
The story behind BeVeda dates back to my childhood when I remember rushing to my mom, complaining about my sore and scratchy throat. The idea of chewing holy basil and ginger with honey to cure my raspy voice sounded yucky. Well, to my surprise, 2 days of gnawing on the herbs, salt water gargles, and steaming my face over a saucepan of hot water with a towel over my head did the trick! This sparked my curiosity, and my journey to discovering the essence behind nature's offerings deepened.
In honor of Baba ( father) who inspired me to live my life with dignity and to treat everyone equally with deep respect, and in loving memory of Nanna ( mother), who taught me to always live true to who I am, Be-Veda's puzzle pieces came together.
With great pride, I present to you Be-Veda, based on Ayurvedic-inspired rituals and lifestyle.
To feel rooted, balanced, and radiant on a daily basis, practicing Ayurveda (knowledge of life ) is a great way to get in touch with your authentic self and live fully. The more I continue to learn and explore its vastness, the more fascinating it is to learn its simplicity and complexity- there is so much more to Ayurveda than just herbs.
With Be-veda, my goal is to make Ayurveda accessible and easy to integrate into our modern-day lives so we can benefit from simple everyday ingredients and practices to prevent dis-ease before it is too late. An Ayurvedic lifestyle is one where we can pause and discover the fine balance between happiness and obsession, work and family, success and wellbeing, flourishing instead of just existing.
As a child I remember, there was tea ready to be served for every and any occasion, be it an early morning wake-up tea, mid-day slump tea, afternoon refreshment tea, evening relaxing tea to with snacks, digestive tea after a meal, refreshment tea at a movie, and even one on a date to comfort oneself!. I could say tea pretty much ran in our blood!
Today, I begin my journey of sharing Ayurveda with you, starting with some of my favorite loose-leaf artisanal chai, hand-picked directly from tea gardens in India, and offering you a transformational journey into the world of holistic wellness. An awakening that our body can heal itself, given the right lifestyle, circadian rhythm, fresh seasonal ingredients, a strong and balanced body, and mind. All it takes is to look within and trust yourself.
Thanks to my sister, who is a tea connoisseur in Australia I recently discovered that there could be beautiful tea mixes yet to be curated and enjoyed. How about teas with health benefits that complement your constitution ( prakriti) and give you what you need at the time? Be it energy, digestion, rest, calm, or clarity.
So what’s your cup of tea?
Would it be Kashmiri Kahwa or Mystic Moringa? Maybe it is exploring the mangroves of Kerala on a houseboat or strolling through a spice garden in Munnar, or enjoying a four-hand synchronized herbal Abhayanga massage at an Ayurvedic retreat?
With an open heart and mind, you will know exactly what resonates with you ...and makes you happy!
